8. Formal Translation And the king returned from the palace garden to the house of the wine banquet, and Haman was falling upon the couch where Esther lay. The king said, “Would he even subdue the queen with me in the house?” As the word went out from the mouth of the king, they covered Haman’s face. |
8. Dynamic Translation When the king came back from the palace garden into the place of the wine banquet, Haman collapsed onto the couch where Esther was. The king cried out, “Is he going to attack the queen while I am here in the house?” As soon as the words left the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face. |
