9. Formal Translation Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs, said before the king, “Behold also the tree which Haman built for Mordecai, who spoke well for the king, stands in Haman’s house fifty cubits high.” And the king said, “Hang him on it!” |
9. Dynamic Translation At that moment, Harbona, one of the king’s eunuchs, said in the king’s presence, “There is a gallows at Haman’s house, fifty cubits tall. He built it for Mordecai, the man who spoke up for the king.” The king ordered, “Hang him on it!” |
