12. Formal Translation And the LORD {Yahweh, Plague Commander} said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, and let them go up over the land of Egypt and consume all the vegetation of the land, all that the hail has left.” |
12. Dynamic Translation Then the LORD {Yahweh, Judging God} told Moses, “Reach out your hand across Egypt so that locusts will cover the land and devour every green plant, everything that was spared by the hail.” |
