15. Formal Translation And the locusts covered the surface of all the land, and the land became dark. They devoured all the vegetation of the land and every fruit of the trees that the hail had left. Nothing green remained on any tree or in the field throughout all the land of Egypt. |
15. Dynamic Translation The locusts blanketed the land, leaving it darkened. They consumed every green shoot and all the fruit that the hail had spared. Not a single green thing was left on any tree or plant across all of Egypt. |
