וַיִּבְחַ֨ר{va-yiv-KHAR###vah-yiv-KHAR###(And He) chose} מֹשֶׁ֤ה{mo-SHEH###moh-SHEH###Moses} אַנְשֵׁי־חַ֙יִל֙{an-shei-KHA-yil###ahn-shee-KHAH-yil###men of valour} מִכָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל{mik-kol-yis-ra-EL###mih-kohl-yis-rah-EHL###from all Israel} וַיִתֵּ֥ן{va-yit-TEN###vah-yit-TEHN###(And) he appointed} אֹתָ֛ם{o-TAM###oh-TAAM###them} רָאשִׁ֖ים{ra-SHIM###rah-SHEEM###as heads} עַל־הָעָ֑ם{al-ha-AM###ahl-haa-AAM###over the people} שָׂרֵ֤י{sa-REI###sah-REE###chiefs of} אֲלָפִים֙{a-la-FIM###ah-lah-FEEM###thousands} שָׂרֵ֣י{sa-REI###sah-REE###chiefs of} מֵא֔וֹת{meh-OT###meh-OHT###hundreds} שָׂרֵ֥י{sa-REI###sah-REE###chiefs of} חֲמִשִּׁ֖ים{kha-mi-SHIM###khah-mih-SHEEM###fifties} וְשָׂרֵ֥י{ve-sa-REI###veh-sah-REE###and chiefs of} עֲשָׂרֹֽת׃{a-sa-ROT###ah-sah-ROHT###tens}
