Exodus 2:6:1וַתִּפְתַּח֙vatiftakh{And} she opened
Exodus 2:6:2וַתִּרְאֵ֣הוּvatirehu{And} she saw him Exodus 2:6:3אֶת־הַיֶּ֔לֶדethayeledthe child Exodus 2:6:4וְהִנֵּה־נַ֖עַרvehinnehnaarand behold a boy Exodus 2:6:5בֹּכֶ֑הbokhehcrying Exodus 2:6:6וַתַּחְמֹ֣לvatakhmol{And} she felt compassion Exodus 2:6:7עָלָ֔יוalavfor him Exodus 2:6:8וַתֹּ֕אמֶרvatomer{And} she said Exodus 2:6:9מִיַּלְדֵ֥יmiyyaldeifrom the children of Exodus 2:6:10הָֽעִבְרִ֖יםhaivrimthe Hebrews Exodus 2:6:11זֶֽה׃zehthis
6. Formal Translation
She opened it and saw the child, and behold, the boy was weeping. She had compassion on him and said, “This is one of the Hebrews.”
6. Dynamic Translation
She opened the basket and saw the baby—boy was crying. She was moved with pity and said, “This must be one of the Hebrew children.”
