| 8. Formal Translation If she is displeasing in the eyes of her master who has designated her for himself, then he must let her be redeemed. He must not have authority to sell her to a foreign people, since he has acted treacherously against her. |
| 8. Dynamic Translation If her master is not pleased with her, though he had set her apart for himself, he must allow her to be redeemed. He must not sell her to foreigners because he has betrayed her trust. |
