| 11. Formal Translation The oath of the LORD {Yahweh, Ultimate Judge} shall be between the two of them: if he has not stretched out his hand in the property of his companion, then its owner shall accept it, and he shall not make restitution. |
| 11. Dynamic Translation The LORD’s {Yahweh, Righteous Arbiter} oath settles the matter between them: if the neighbor did not lay a hand on his companion’s property, the owner must accept it and no payment is required. |
