1 And you shall make the tabernacle {mishkan: dwelling place} with ten curtains of fine twisted linen {shesh: pure fabric} in blue, purple, and scarlet, and you shall make them with cherubim in the work of a skillful craftsman.
2 The length of each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits {amah: standard unit of measure}, and its width four cubits; the same measurement {middah: fixed size} shall be used for every curtain.
3 You shall bind {hoverot: closely bound together} five curtains together, one to another {ishah: distributive pairing}, and you shall bind the other five curtains together one to another.
4 You shall make loops of blue {tekhelet: violet dye} on the edge of the first curtain, at its end in the joining {machberet: seam}; and you shall make loops of blue on the edge of the outermost curtain, at its end in the second joining.
5 You shall make fifty loops on the one curtain, and you shall make fifty loops on the edge of the curtain at the joining of the second; the loops are to be corresponding {makbilot: matching}, each one {ishah: individual loop} to its sister.
6 You shall make fifty gold clasps and use them to join the curtains, linking each one to its sister, so that the tabernacle {mishkan: Dwelling Place} shall be one {echad: Unified}.
7 You shall make curtains of goat hair {izzim: goat hair material} to form a tent over the tabernacle {mishkan: dwelling place}; you shall make eleven curtains.
8 Each curtain {yeriaʿah: woven panel} shall be thirty cubits long and four cubits wide; the same measurement {midah: uniform standard} shall apply to all eleven curtains.
9 You shall join the five curtains {yeriot: layered coverings} separately and the six curtains separately; and you shall double the sixth curtain at the front of the tent {ohel: sacred dwelling}.
10 And you shall make fifty loops {lulaot: coupling rings} upon the edge of the outermost curtain in the set {bachoveret: grouping}, and fifty loops upon the edge of the joining curtain, the second.
11 You shall produce fifty bronze clasps {karsei: fastening pieces}, slot them into the loops, and bind the tent so that it becomes a unified whole {echad: unified whole}.
12 The surplus {serakh: extra length} in the tent curtains—the half curtain that remains—shall hang down over the back of the tabernacle {mishkan: sacred dwelling}.
13 And the cubit {ammah: ancient cubit} on one side and the cubit on the other side, from the surplus {odef: fabric surplus} in the length of the tent curtains, shall hang down along the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on that side, to cover it.
14 And you shall make a covering for the tent from ram skins {eilim: male sheep} dyed red and a covering of tachash skins {techashim: exotic hide} above it.
15 You shall make boards {kerashim: load-bearing planks} for the tabernacle {mishkan: mobile sanctuary} from acacia wood, set upright.
16 Each frame shall measure ten cubits in length {amah: ancient measurement} and one and a half cubits in width {chatsi: fractional unit}.
17 Two projections {yadot: extending arms} shall be set on each board {keresh: frame board}, joined one to its counterpart; thus you shall make all the boards of the tabernacle.
18 You shall make the boards {kerashim: upright planks} for the tabernacle—twenty boards—on the side facing south {negevah: southern quarter}.
19 You shall make forty bases {adanim: support pedestals} of silver under the twenty boards: two bases under one board for its two projections {yedotav: supporting extensions}, and two bases under the next board for its two projections.
20 For the second side of the tabernacle{mishkan: dwelling place}, the north{tsafon: direction of concealment} side, you shall fashion twenty boards.
21 Place forty silver bases {adanim: socket supports}: two bases under one board {qeresh: structural frame} and two bases under the next board.
22 For the far ends {yarketei: outermost parts} of the tabernacle {mishkan: dwelling place} toward the west, you shall make six boards.
23 You shall make two boards {kerashim: structural planks} for the corners of the Tabernacle at the sides {yarkatayim: extremities}.
24 And they shall be separate{toamim: placed apart} from below, and together they shall be complete on its head into a single ring{haechat: unified loop}. Thus it shall be for both of them, for the two corners.
25 There shall be eight frames {kerashim: structural boards} with their bases of silver {kesef: precious metal}—sixteen bases—two under one frame and two under the other frame.
26 You shall fashion five crossbars of acacia wood {shittim: desert timber} for the boards on the one side of the tabernacle {mishkan: dwelling place}.
27 And five bars {berichim: structural supports} for the boards {karshei: wooden panels} of the second side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle at the rear, westward.
28 The middle {hatichon: central support} bar, set within the boards, shall run through {mavriach: extend its span} from one end to the other.
29 You shall overlay the boards {qerashim: structural panels} with gold, make their rings {tabbeoteihem: reinforcing loops} of gold as holders for the crossbars, and overlay the crossbars with gold.
30 You shall set up the tabernacle {mishkan: dwelling place} in accordance with its pattern {mishpat: prescribed form} that you were shown on the mountain.
31 You shall make a curtain {parokhet: sanctuary veil} of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen, crafted by a skillful craftsman, with cherubim {keruvim: angelic figures} woven into it.
32 And you shall place it on four posts of acacia wood {shittim: durable hardwood} overlaid with gold, with their hooks of gold, on four bases {adnei: foundational sockets} of silver.
33 You shall hang the curtain beneath the clasps and bring the ark of the testimony inside the curtain; and the curtain shall separate for you between the Holy Place {kodesh: holy chamber} and the Most Holy Place {kodesh hakodashim: innermost sanctuary}.
34 You shall place the atonement cover {kaporet: expiation lid} on the ark of the testimony within the Most Holy Place {kodesh hakodashim: inner sanctuary}.
35 You shall place the table outside the curtain, and you shall arrange the lampstand opposite the table on the south side {teimanah: right-hand direction} of the tabernacle. Then you shall set the table on the north side {tsafon: hidden place}.
36 You shall make a curtain for the entrance of the tent from blue {tekhelet: Royal Hue}, purple, and worm-dyed scarlet, and linen twined {mashzar: Delicate Weave}, fashioned as the work of an embroiderer.
37 For the screen {masakh: sacred divider} you are to fashion five pillars of acacia wood and overlay them with gold; their hooks {vaveihem: attachment loops} shall be of gold, and you are to cast for them five bases of bronze.
