1 And you shall make the altar {mizbeach: place of sacrifice} of acacia wood; its length shall be five cubits and its width five cubits, the altar shall be square {ravua: right-angled form}, and its height shall be three cubits.
2 And you shall make its horns on its four corners; its horns shall be of one piece {mimmennu: formed from it}, and you shall overlay it with bronze {nechoshet: shining copper metal}.
3 And you shall make its pots {sirotav: ash-removing vessels} for removing its ashes, and its shovels, and its bowls, and its forks, and its firepans; for all its utensils you shall make them of bronze {nechoshet: sacred bronze}.
4 And you shall make for it a grating, the workmanship of a bronze network {reshet: woven lattice}, and you shall make four bronze rings {tabbe'ot: fastening loops} on the four corners of the network.
5 And you shall put it under the ledge{karkov: surrounding rim} of the altar from below, and the netting{hareshet: mesh barrier} shall reach the midpoint of the altar.
6 And you shall make poles {badim: support rods} for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and you shall overlay them with bronze {nechoshet: hammered copper alloy}.
7 And its poles {badav: transport rods} shall be brought into the rings, and the poles shall rest on the two sides of the altar {mizbeach: ritual platform} when it is carried.
8 You shall make it hollow {nevu'v: empty inside} out of boards, just as He {YHWH, Revealer} showed you on the mountain; so shall they make it.
9 And you shall make the courtyard of the tabernacle {mishkan: sacred dwelling}. On the southern side facing south there shall be curtains for the courtyard of finely twisted linen {sheish: select fabric}, one hundred cubits in length for that one side.
10 And its posts shall be twenty and their bases {adanim: foundation sockets} shall be twenty, of bronze; the hooks {vavei: curved fasteners} of the posts and their bands shall be of silver.
11 And so for the north side in length there shall be curtains one hundred {meah: one hundred} cubits long, with twenty pillars and twenty bases of bronze, and the hooks of the pillars and their bands of silver {kasef: pure silver}.
12 And the width of the courtyard on the west side shall be curtains fifty cubits long, with ten posts {ammudeihem: structural supports} and ten bases {adneihem: foundational sockets}.
13 And the width of the courtyard {hechatsar: sacred enclosure} on the east side, facing the sunrise, shall be fifty cubits {ammah: ancient measure}.
14 And fifteen cubits of curtains {ammah: standard biblical measure} shall be for one side of the gate, with three pillars {amudeihem: vertical supports} and three bases.
15 And for the second side of the gate there shall be hangings {qelaim: Woven Panels} of fifteen cubits, three pillars, and three bases {adneihem: Foundation Sockets}.
16 And for the gate of the courtyard there shall be a curtain {masakh: woven screen} twenty cubits long of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and twisted linen, the work of an embroiderer {rokem: skilled artisan}, with its four pillars and four bases.
17 All the posts around the courtyard are banded with silver {kesef: ornamental embellishment}, their hooks are made of silver, and their bases are of bronze {nechoshet: sturdy metal foundation}.
18 The length of the courtyard shall be 100 cubits, the width 50 cubits throughout, and the height 5 cubits, with fine twisted linen {shesh: fine linen} and its sockets {adnehem: support bases} of bronze.
19 All the implements {kelei: sacred vessels} of the tabernacle, in all its service, and all its pegs, and all the pegs of the courtyard {hatser: surrounding enclosure}, shall be bronze.
20 And you shall command the sons of Israel to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light {ma'or: sanctuary illumination}, to keep the lamp burning continually {tamid: at all times}.
21 In the tent of meeting outside the curtain, which is over the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall arrange it from evening until morning before the LORD {YHWH, Sanctuary King}. This is a perpetual statute {chukkat: binding ordinance} for their generations from the sons of Israel.
