וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע{va-yish-MA###vah-yish-MAH###(And He) heard} הָעָ֗ם{ha-AM###hah-AAM###the people} אֶת־הַדָּבָ֥ר{et-ha-da-VAR###eht-hah-dah-VAAR###the word} הָרָ֛ע{ha-RA###hah-RAA###evil} הַזֶּ֖ה{ha-ZEH###hah-ZEH###this} וַיִּתְאַבָּ֑לוּ{va-yit-a-BA-lu###vah-yit-ah-BAA-loo###(And) they mourned} וְלֹא־שָׁ֛תוּ{ve-lo-SHA-tu###veh-loh-SHAA-too###(And) they did not put on} אִ֥ישׁ{ISH###EESH###a man} עֶדְי֖וֹ{ed-YO###ehd-YOH###his ornament} עָלָֽיו׃{a-LAV###ah-LAAV###upon himself}
