1 Bezalel made the ark {aron: holy chest} of acacia wood {shittim: sturdy timber}; its length was two and a half cubits, its width a cubit and a half, and its height a cubit and a half.
2 And he overlaid it with pure gold {zahav: refined precious metal}, on the inside and on the outside, and he made for it a gold rim {zeir: ornamental border} all around
3 And he cast four rings of gold for it and placed them on its four feet {paamotav: supporting bases}, with two rings on one side {al-tsalo: lateral edge} and two on the other side.
4 And he made poles {badei: wooden shafts} of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold {zahav: refined metal}.
5 He brought the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark {aron: sacred chest} to carry {lase’et: for transport} the ark.
6 And he made the atonement cover {kapporet: lid of expiation} of pure gold; its length was two cubits {ammatayim: dual cubits} and a half, and its width was one cubit and a half.
7 And he made two cherubim {keruvim: angelic figures} of gold by hammered work, and he made them from the two ends of the atonement cover {kapporet: place of atonement}.
8 One cherub was at one end and one cherub at the other; from the atonement cover {kapporet: sacred cover} he fashioned the cherubim {keruvim: protective guardians} at its two ends.
9 And the cherubim {keruvim: angelic guardians} spread their wings upward, overshadowing the cover {kapporet: atonement lid} with their wings, and each of their faces was turned toward his brother; and the faces of the cherubim were toward the cover.
10 And he made the table {shulchan: sacred furnishing} of acacia wood {shittim: desert timber}; its length was two cubits, its width one cubit, and its height one and a half cubits.
11 And he overlaid it with pure gold {zahav: precious metal}, and he made for it a gold molding {zeir: ornamental crown} all around.
12 And he made for it a frame {misgeret: structural border} one handbreadth wide all around, and he made a gold {zahav: precious metal} molding for its frame all around.
13 And he cast for it four rings of gold, and he set them on the four corners {hapeot: attachment points} that corresponded to its four legs {raglav: supporting bases}.
14 Beside the frame were the rings, holders {batim: receptacles} for poles {labadim: carrying rods}, to carry the table.
15 And he {Bezalel: skilled artisan} made poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold, to carry the table {shulchan: sacred furnishing}.
16 And he made the vessels {kelim: sanctuary implements} that were on the table—its plates, its incense dishes, its libation jars, and its pouring bowls {yussakh: libation offering}—of pure gold.
17 And he made the lampstand {menorah: sacred light holder} of pure gold; the hammered work {miqshah: metal shaping method} produced its base, shaft, cups, knobs, and blossoms as one piece.
18 And six branches {keneh: Supporting Arm} came out from its sides—three branches of the lampstand {menorah: Sacred Lamp} on its one side and three on its other side.
19 Three cups shaped like almond blossoms {meshukkadim: almond-blossom form} were on one branch, with a knob and a flower; and three cups shaped like almond blossoms were on another branch, with a knob and a flower—so it was the same for the six branches extending from the lampstand {menorah: seven-branched sanctuary lamp}.
20 And on the lampstand {menorah: sacred candelabrum} were four cups shaped like almond blossoms {meshukadim: emblem of awakening}, with its buds and its flowers.
21 And a knob {kaftor: ornamental bud} was placed under two of the branches, and a second knob under two more, and a third knob under the final pair—for the six {lesheshet: total count} branches that extended from it.
22 Their buds {kaftorehem: ornamental knobs} and their branches were of one piece with it; the whole of it was a single piece {mikshah: hammered work} of pure gold.
23 And he made its seven lamps and its tongs {malqach: utensil for grasping} and its firepans {mahtot: trays for coals} of pure gold.
24 He made it and all its utensils {keleiha: temple vessels} out of one talent {kikkar: weight measure} of pure gold.
25 He made the incense altar {mizbeach: sacred platform} of acacia wood; it was one cubit long and one cubit wide—square {rabu’a: right angles}—and two cubits high, with its horns of one piece with it.
26 He overlaid it with pure gold {zahav: precious metal}, on its top, all around its sides, and on its horns; then he fashioned for it a gold molding {zêr: ornamental border} encircling it.
27 And he made two gold rings {tabba’ot: circular fittings} for it under its molding, on two opposite sides, as housings {levatim: fitted supports} for poles to carry it in them.
28 And he made the poles {baddim: supporting rods} of acacia wood, and he overlaid them with gold {zahav: precious metal}.
29 And he made the holy {kodesh: set apart} anointing oil, and the pure incense {ketoret: aromatic mixture} of spices—the work of a perfumer.
