1 Bezalel, Oholiab, and every man wise of heart {chakam-lev: endowed insight} whom the LORD {YHWH, Source of Wisdom} has given wisdom and understanding to know how to perform all the work of the sanctuary are to do it according to all that the LORD has commanded.
2 And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every wise-hearted person {khakam-lev: skilled in discernment} to whom the LORD {YHWH, Giver of Insight} had given wisdom in his heart, every one whose heart was lifted up to draw near to the work and do it.
3 And they took from before Moses all the offerings that the sons of Israel had brought for the work of the service {avodat: sacred service work} of the sanctuary {kodesh: sacred precinct} to carry it out. And they still brought him freewill offerings morning after morning.
4 Then all the wise ones {chachamim: skillful craftsmen} who were doing all the work of the sanctuary {kodesh: sacred structure} came, each man from the task he was performing.
5 And they said to Moses, “The people are bringing more than enough for the service {avodah: consecrated work} of the craftsmanship which the LORD {YHWH, Divine Commander} has commanded to do.”
6 And Moses commanded, and they caused a proclamation {kol: public announcement} to go throughout the camp, saying, “No man or woman shall do any more work for the contribution {terumah: designated gift} of the sanctuary.” So the people were restrained from bringing.
7 And the work was sufficient {dayam: full provision} for all the work to accomplish it, and there was a surplus {hoter: abundant remainder}.
8 And all the wise of heart {chakham-lev: endowed with insight} among the artisans made the tabernacle with ten curtains of finely twisted linen and of blue, purple, and scarlet, and they fashioned cherubim {keruvim: sanctuary guardians} with skilled workmanship.
9 The length of each curtain was twenty-eight cubits {amah: standard ancient measure}, and the width of each curtain was four cubits; one measurement {midah: set standard} was for all the curtains.
10 And he joined {chibar: fastened securely} five curtains {yeriot: fabric panels} one to another, and he joined the other five curtains one to another.
11 And he made loops of blue {techelet: sky-blue dye} on the edge of the first curtain at the joining; likewise, he made loops on the edge of the outermost curtain in the second joining {machberet: connection point}.
12 He made fifty loops{lulaot: specialized rings} on the one curtain and fifty loops on the curtain’s edge in the second joining, loops corresponding{makbilot: precisely matching} to one another.
13 And he made fifty gold clasps and joined the curtains {yeriot: tent panels} one to another with the clasps, so that the tabernacle became one {echad: unified whole}.
14 And he made curtains {yeriot: protective coverings} of goat hair for the tent over the tabernacle; he made eleven {ashtei-esre: feminine construct numeral} curtains in all.
15 The length of each curtain was thirty cubits{baammah: standard ancient measurement}, and the width of each curtain was four cubits. The measurement{middah: uniform standard} was the same for all eleven curtains.
16 And he joined{vayechabber: linking edges} five curtains separately{levad: set apart} and six curtains separately.
17 And he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain {yeriya: woven panel}, the outermost in the joining {machberet: connection point}; and fifty loops he made on the edge of the curtain that was joining, the second one.
18 And he made fifty clasps {karsei: structural fastenings} of bronze to join the tent together so that it would become one {echad: unified structure}.
19 And he made a covering for the tent from red-dyed ram skins {elim: male sheep skins} and a covering of tachash skins {techashim: specialized hide} above it.
20 And he made the boards {kerashim: vertical supports} for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing upright {omdim: set firmly}.
21 The length of each board was ten cubits {amah: standard unit}, and the width of each board was a cubit and a half {chatsi: divided portion}.
22 Each board had two projections {yadot: hand extensions} that were interlocked; thus he made for all the boards of the tabernacle {mishkan: divine dwelling}.
23 And he made the boards {qerashim: wooden planks} for the tabernacle—twenty boards for the south side {negev: dry region}.
24 And he made forty silver bases under the twenty boards—two bases {adanim: footings} under each board for its two projections {yedot: protrusions}.
25 And for the second side of the tabernacle {mishkan: sacred tent}, toward the north, he made twenty boards {kerashim: upright wooden frames}.
26 And there were forty silver bases {adanim: foundational sockets}; two bases under one frame and two bases under another frame {keresh: support beam}.
27 And for the westward {yamah: western orientation} side of the tabernacle {mishkan: holy dwelling} he made six frames.
28 And he made two boards {krashim: upright supports} for the corners of the tabernacle at the two sides {yarkatayim: outermost parts}.
29 And the boards at the corners were paired {to'amim: doubly set} from below and were complete {tammim: perfectly united} at the top by a single ring; thus he made them for both of the corners.
30 And there were eight boards {kerashim: upright supports}, and their bases were silver, sixteen bases—two bases underneath each board {adanim: support sockets}.
31 And he made bars {berichei: support beams} of acacia wood—five for the frames of the one side of the tabernacle {mishkan: dwelling place}.
32 And five bars {berichim: support beams} for the frames of the second side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the frames of the tabernacle on the west side {yamah: rear orientation}.
33 And he made the middle bar {tikhon: central support} to pass through the middle of the boards {qərašim: frame planks}, from one end to the other.
34 And he overlaid the frames with gold {zahav: Precious Metal}, made their rings {tabbeotam: Structural Loops} of gold as housings for the bars, and he overlaid the bars with gold.
35 He made the curtain {parokhet: sacred partition} of blue, purple, and scarlet, and of finely twisted linen as a work of a skillful designer; he made it with cherubim {keruvim: woven guardians}.
36 And he made for it four pillars {ammudei: support columns} of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold; their hooks were gold, and he cast for them four bases {adnei-kasef: support foundations} of silver.
37 And he made a curtain for the entrance of the tent of blue, purple, and scarlet {tola'at-shani: worm-dyed crimson} yarn and finely twisted linen—the work {ma'aseh: skilled craftsmanship} of an embroiderer.
38 And he made five posts {ammudav: support columns} with their hooks, overlaid their tops and bands with gold, and made their five sockets {adneihem: base fittings} of bronze.
