1 And he made the altar {mizbeach: place of sacrifice} of burnt offering {olah: ascending offering} from acacia wood; it was five cubits long, five cubits wide (square), and three cubits high.
2 And he made its horns on its four corners; the horns were of one piece {mimmennu: one-piece cast} with it, and he overlaid it with bronze {nechoshet: copper alloy}.
3 And he made every utensil {kelei: sacrificial vessels} for the altar—pots, shovels, basins, forks, and firepans—and he made all these utensils of bronze {nechoshet: copper alloy}.
4 And he made for the altar a grating, a work of network {reshet: intertwined mesh}, of bronze, under its ledge {karkubo: projecting rim}, from below up to its middle.
5 And he cast four rings {ṭabba'ot: support loops} in the four corners for the bronze grating as housings for the poles {baddim: carrying rods}.
6 He fashioned the poles from acacia wood {shittim: durable hardwood} and coated them with bronze {nechoshet: copper alloy}.
7 And he set the poles through the rings {batabbaot: carrying loops} on the sides of the altar, to carry it by them. He made it hollow {nevuv: empty interior}, built from boards.
8 And he made the basin {kiyor: ritual wash vessel} of bronze and its stand of bronze, using the mirrors of the women who assembled {tsoveot: those performing sacred service} at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
9 And he made the courtyard {hechatser: open enclosure} on the south side—facing south—the curtains {kalei: protective hangings} of the courtyard were of twisted linen, one hundred cubits long.
10 Their posts were twenty, and their sockets {adneihem: support sockets} were twenty bronze, with the hooks of the posts and their bands {chashukeihem: decorative straps} made of silver.
11 And for the north side, the hangings {kalei: protective hangings} measured one hundred cubits, with twenty pillars and twenty bases {adanim: weight-bearing supports} of bronze, and the hooks and bands of the pillars were of silver.
12 And on the west side, the curtains measured fifty cubits {ba'ammah: cubit measure}, with ten pillars and ten bases; the hooks and bands of the pillars were of silver {kasef: refined metal}.
13 And for the side {pe'at: boundary edge} on the east, toward the sunrise {mitsrachah: sunrise orientation}, there were fifty cubits.
14 Curtains {kela'im: woven hangings} fifteen cubits long {ammah: ancient cubit} were on the side; their posts were three, and their bases were three.
15 And for the second side {katef: upright flank}, on either side of the gate to the courtyard, there were hangings fifteen cubits {ammāh: about 45 cm} long with their three pillars and their three bases.
16 All the curtains {qālʿê: woven hangings} around the courtyard were made of finely twisted linen {māš-ẓār: spun threads}.
17 And the bases for the pillars were bronze, the hooks {vavei: structural attachments} of the pillars and their bands were silver, and the overlaying of their tops was silver; and all the pillars of the court were banded with silver {kesef: precious metal}.
18 And the curtain for the entrance of the courtyard was the work of an embroiderer, made of blue {tekhelet: rich blue dye}, purple, and scarlet wool, and of finely twisted linen; it measured twenty cubits in length, and its height in its breadth was five cubits, corresponding to the hangings {kal'ei: courtyard curtains} of the courtyard.
19 And their pillars {ammudeihem: foundational supports} were four, and their bases were four of bronze. Their hooks were of silver, and the overlay {tsipuy: decorative covering} of their tops and their bands was of silver.
20 All the pegs {yetedot: tent stakes} for the tabernacle and for the courtyard all around were bronze {nechoshet: strong metal}.
21 These are the records {pekudei: official count} of the Tabernacle, the Tabernacle of Testimony {ha-edut: covenant witness}, that were registered at the command of Moses for the service of the Levites by the hand of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest.
22 And Bezalel {betsalel: God’s Protection}, son of Uri and son of Hur from the tribe of Judah, made all that the LORD {YHWH, Sovereign Commander} commanded Moses.
23 And with him was Oholiab, son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan—a craftsman {charash: skilled artisan} and designer, and an embroiderer {rokem: intricate embroidery} in blue, in purple, in crimson yarn of scarlet, and in fine linen.
24 All the gold made for the work throughout the sanctuary {qodesh: holy place} and the gold of the wave offering amounted to 29 talents and 730 shekels by the sanctuary shekel {sheqel: sacred weight standard}.
25 And the silver of those counted in the assembly {edah: gathered congregation} was one hundred talents and one thousand seven hundred seventy-five shekels by the holy shekel {shekel: sanctuary standard}.
26 A beka {beqa: half-shekel unit} per person, half a shekel by the shekel of the sanctuary {ha-kodesh: ritual standard}, for everyone crossing over to those counted, from twenty years of age and upward, for six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
27 There were one hundred talents of silver for casting the bases of the sanctuary {hakodesh: Sacred Place} and of the curtain; one hundred bases for the one hundred talents—a talent for each base {aden: Structural Support}.
28 Of the 1,775 shekels he made hooks for the pillars, overlaid their capitals {rosheihem: pillar tops}, and fastened them with bands {chishaq: secured and bound them}.
29 And the bronze of the wave offering {tenupah: lifted contribution} was seventy talents and two thousand four hundred shekels {sheqel: standard weight}.
30 And with it he made the sockets {adnei: foundation sockets} for the entrance of the tent of meeting, and the bronze altar, and the bronze grating {mikkbar: supporting grill} that belonged to it, and all the utensils of the altar.
31 And with it he made the bases of the courtyard {khatser: Sacred Enclosure} all around, the bases of the gate of the courtyard, all the tent pegs of the tabernacle {mishkan: Dwelling Place}, and all the tent pegs of the courtyard all around.
