3. Formal Translation And they said, “God of the Hebrews has met with us; let us go three days in the wilderness to offer sacrifice to the LORD our God, lest He strike us with pestilence or with the sword.” |
3. Dynamic Translation They replied, “The God of the Hebrews has appeared to us. Please let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the LORD our God, or He might strike us with disease or with the sword.” |
