16. Formal Translation The prophets of Israel who prophesy concerning Jerusalem and who see for her a vision of peace {shalom: well-being, completeness}, yet there is no peace—declares the Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Sovereign Master}. |
16. Dynamic Translation The prophets of Israel who speak messages about Jerusalem and claim to see visions of peace for her, when there is really no peace at all—so says the Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Supreme Ruler}. |
