Formal Translation Therefore, speak to them and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Sovereign Judge}: Any man of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, and places the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and then comes to the prophet, I the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Ruler} will answer him according to the multitude of his idols.’ |

Dynamic Translation So tell the people, “This is what the Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Supreme Authority} says: If anyone from Israel brings idols into his heart and puts the stumbling block of his sin before his face, and then comes to the prophet, I the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Enforcer} will answer that person in keeping with the great number of his idols.” |
