| 6. Formal Translation Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Sovereign Master}: “As the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for consuming, so have I given the inhabitants of Jerusalem.” |
| 6. Dynamic Translation This is what the Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Divine Judge} declares: “Just as vine wood among the trees of the forest is thrown into the fire to be burned up, so I have given the people in Jerusalem to the same fate.” |
