| 24. Formal Translation But when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and commits injustice, doing all the abominations that the wicked one practices—shall he live? None of his righteous deeds will be remembered. Because of his treachery and his sin, he will die. |
| 24. Dynamic Translation But if a good person abandons right living and does evil—practicing all the disgusting things the wicked do—will he live? None of his good deeds will be remembered. Because of his betrayal and wrongdoing, he will die. |
