Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Ezekiel 21:23:1 ⧉וְהָיָ֨הvehayaand it will be Ezekiel 21:23:2 ⧉לָהֶ֤םlahemto them Ezekiel 21:23:3 ⧉כְּקֶסֶם־כִּקְסַם־שָׁוְא֙kekesemkiksamshavelike a divination, like a divination of emptiness or falsehood Ezekiel 21:23:4 ⧉בְּעֵ֣ינֵיהֶ֔םbeenehehemin their eyes Ezekiel 21:23:5 ⧉שְׁבֻעֵ֥יshevuesworn ones of Ezekiel 21:23:6 ⧉שְׁבֻעֹ֖ותshevuotoaths Ezekiel 21:23:7 ⧉לָהֶ֑םlahemto them Ezekiel 21:23:8 ⧉וְה֣וּא־מַזְכִּ֥ירvehumazkirand he is bringing to remembrance Ezekiel 21:23:9 ⧉עָוֺ֖ןavoniniquity or guilt Ezekiel 21:23:10 ⧉לְהִתָּפֵֽשׂ׃פlehittafesto be seized |
| 23. Formal Translation And it will be to them like a false divination in their eyes—those who have sworn oaths—for them; but He {Yahweh, Righteous Judge} will bring to remembrance the iniquity, in order that they may be seized. |
| 23. Dynamic Translation To them it will appear as a lying omen in their eyes—those bound by sworn oaths—but He {Yahweh, Justice Enforcer} will bring their guilt to mind, so that they may be taken. |
