14. Formal Translation Then I said, "Ah, Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Supreme Ruler}, my soul has not been defiled. From my youth until this day I have eaten neither a carcass nor flesh torn by wild animals, and abominable flesh has not entered my mouth." |
14. Dynamic Translation So I replied, "Please, Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Faithful Judge}, I have never defiled myself. From my youth until now I have never eaten a carcass or anything torn by wild animals, and no abominable flesh has ever entered my mouth." |
