Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Ezekiel 6:12:1 ⧉הָרָח֞וֹקharakhokthe one far Ezekiel 6:12:2 ⧉בַּדֶּ֣בֶרbadeverby the pestilence Ezekiel 6:12:3 ⧉יָמ֗וּתyamutshall die Ezekiel 6:12:4 ⧉וְהַקָּרוֹב֙vehakarovand the one near Ezekiel 6:12:5 ⧉בַּחֶ֣רֶבbakherevby the sword Ezekiel 6:12:6 ⧉יִפּ֔וֹלyippolshall fall Ezekiel 6:12:7 ⧉וְהַנִּשְׁאָר֙vehanishearand the one remaining Ezekiel 6:12:8 ⧉וְהַנָּצ֔וּרvehanatsurand the one preserved Ezekiel 6:12:9 ⧉בָּרָעָ֖בbaraavby famine Ezekiel 6:12:10 ⧉יָמ֑וּתyamutshall die Ezekiel 6:12:11 ⧉וְכִלֵּיתִ֥יvekhileitiand I will complete Ezekiel 6:12:12 ⧉חֲמָתִ֖יkhamatimy wrath Ezekiel 6:12:13 ⧉בָּֽם׃bamupon them |
12. Formal Translation The one who is far off shall die by the pestilence; the one who is near shall fall by the sword; and the one who remains and is besieged shall die by famine. Thus I {Yahweh, Avenging Judge} will bring my fury to its full end upon them. |
12. Dynamic Translation Anyone who is far away will die of plague, anyone who is near will fall by the sword, and anyone who remains and is besieged will die of hunger. Then I {Yahweh, Just Executor} will bring my fury to its full end among them. |
