21. Formal Translation And I proclaimed a fast there at the Ahava River, to humble ourselves before our God {Eloheinu, Protector on the journey}, to seek from Him a straight way for us, our children, and all our possessions. |
21. Dynamic Translation At the Ahava River, I announced a fast so that we might humble ourselves before our God {Eloheinu, Guide and Helper}, asking Him for a safe and direct route for us, our children, and all our possessions. |
