Lord, revive your Church to speak with the kind of honesty and clarity seen in Paul's careful account. Free us from exaggeration, from careless talk, and from the need to sound impressive. Make us a people who tell the truth, honor one another, and bear faithful witness to what you have done, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church in Honest Witness

First, name one place where your words have been careless. Then ask God to help you speak only what is true, to leave out guesswork, and to remember people fairly before you talk about them.

Pray for Clear Speech

Give thanks for the people God uses in ordinary, unspectacular ways; for those who are known by truth rather than noise; and for steady brothers and sisters whose faithfulness may be mentioned only briefly but still matters deeply.

Thanks for Quiet Faithfulness

Lord, I pray for brothers and sisters in your Church who serve faithfully and may be overlooked. Give them honor without pride, protect them from discouragement, and help us speak of them with fairness and gratitude, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Honor the Faithful

Praise God for the truth that does not need exaggeration, for the order that keeps a story clear, and for the Lord who knows exactly who was there and what was said. Let your heart rest in the God who loves what is true.
