| 13. Formal Translation Then the survivor came and reported to Abram the Hebrew. He was living among the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, the brother of Eshkol and the brother of Aner; and they were allies of Abram. |
| 13. Dynamic Translation One man who had escaped came and told Abram the Hebrew. At that time, Abram was staying near the great trees of Mamre the Amorite, who was the brother of Eshkol and of Aner; they were Abram’s trusted allies. |
