| 28. Formal Translation “Perhaps five will be lacking from the fifty righteous. Will You destroy all the city for five?” And He {Yahweh, Patient Judge} said, “I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there.” |
| 28. Dynamic Translation “What if there are five fewer than fifty righteous people? Will You still destroy the whole city because of five?” And He {Yahweh, Merciful Arbiter} answered, “I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there.” |
