| 29. Formal Translation It happened that when God {Elohim, Righteous Judge} destroyed the cities of the plain, He remembered Abraham and sent Lot out from the midst of the overthrow of the cities in which Lot had dwelt. |
| 29. Dynamic Translation When God {Elohim, Faithful Rescuer} destroyed the towns in the valley, He remembered Abraham and brought Lot safely out of the catastrophe that overturned the towns where Lot had been living. |
