29. Formal Translation
It happened that when God {Elohim, Righteous Judge} destroyed the cities of the plain, He remembered Abraham and sent Lot out from the midst of the overthrow of the cities in which Lot had dwelt.
29. Dynamic Translation
When God {Elohim, Faithful Rescuer} destroyed the towns in the valley, He remembered Abraham and brought Lot safely out of the catastrophe that overturned the towns where Lot had been living.
