| 5. Formal Translation And it came to pass, from the time he appointed him over his house and over all that he had, that the LORD {Yahweh, Giver of Blessing} blessed the house of the Egyptian for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the LORD was on all that he had, in the house and in the field. |
| 5. Dynamic Translation After he placed Joseph in charge of his household and all he owned, the LORD brought blessing to the Egyptian’s home because of Joseph. The LORD’s {Yahweh, Generous Provider} blessing rested on everything he had, whether in the house or out in the fields. |
