5. Formal Translation Indeed, because wine betrays, a proud man does not rest; he who has enlarged his soul like Sheol and is like death and cannot be satisfied gathers all the nations to himself and collects all the peoples. |
5. Dynamic Translation Moreover, wine betrays and an arrogant man never finds peace; he expands his desire like the grave and remains insatiable as death. He gathers every nation to himself and amasses all the peoples. |
