4. Formal Translation By faith Abel offered to God {Theos, Approving Judge} a greater sacrifice than Cain. Through this he was attested to be righteous, God Himself testifying about his gifts. And through it, although he has died, he still speaks. |
4. Dynamic Translation Because of faith, Abel brought God {Theos, Faithful Witness} a better offering than Cain. As a result, God declared him to be right because He approved of Abel’s gifts. Even though Abel died, he still speaks through that faith. |
