5. Formal Translation By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death, and he was not found because God {Theos, Faithful Preserver} had taken him; for before his transfer he had been testified to as one who had pleased God. |
5. Dynamic Translation It was by faith that Enoch was taken away so that he did not experience death, and he could not be found because God had taken him away. Before he was taken, he received the testimony that he pleased God {Theos, Worthy Recipient}. |
