Hebrews 1TAB

In many portions and in many ways long ago, God {Theos, Supreme Revealer} spoke to the fathers {patrasin: ancestral leaders} by the prophets.

But in these last days {eschatos: final stage} He {Theos, Climactic Revealer} has spoken to us in a Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the ages.

He {Christos, Radiant Son} who is the radiance of the glory and the exact imprint of His substance and who sustains all things by the word of His power, after making purification for sins through Himself, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty {megalosynes: Supreme Greatness} on high.

In this way He {Iesous, Exalted Son} became so much greater than the angels, since the name {onoma: Divine Title} He has inherited is more excellent than theirs.

For to which of the angels did He {Theos, Exalted Father} ever say, “You are My Son, today I have begotten {gegenneka: affirmed as Son} You”? And again, “I will be a Father to Him, and He will be a Son to Me”?

And again, when He brings the firstborn {prototokos: Preeminent Heir} into the inhabited world, He says, “And let all the angels of God {Theos, Commander of Angels} worship Him.”

And with regard to the angels He {Theos, Exalting His Son} says, “He who makes His angels winds {pneumata: rushing winds} and His ministers a flame of fire.”

But concerning the Son He says, “Your throne, O God {Theos, Divine Sovereign}, is forever and ever, and the scepter of uprightness {euthytetos: moral straightness} is the scepter of Your kingdom.”

You have loved righteousness {dikaiosyne: just conduct} and hated lawlessness; therefore God {Theos, Anointing Father}, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your companions.

And You, Lord {Kyrios, Sovereign Creator}, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth {ge: created world}, and the heavens are the works of Your hands.

They will perish, but You {Christos, Eternal Sustainer} remain; and all will grow old like a garment {himation: outer covering}.

And as a cloak You {Christos, Eternal Creator} will roll them up, and like a garment they will be changed; but You are the same {ho autos: Unchanging One}, and Your years will never fail.

But to which of the angels has He {Theos, Supreme Speaker} ever said, “Sit at My right hand until I make your enemies {echthrous: hostile ones} a footstool for your feet”?

Are they not all ministering {leitourgika: sacred-service work} spirits, being sent for service for the sake of those who are about to inherit salvation {soteria: God-given deliverance}?
