26. Formal Translation For then it would have been necessary for Him {Christos, Once-for-all Offering} to suffer often from the foundation of the world; but now, once at the completion of the ages, He has appeared for the removal of sin through the sacrifice of Himself. |
26. Dynamic Translation Otherwise, He {Christos, Historical Redeemer} would have needed to suffer many times since the world began. But now, He has appeared once, at the end of the ages, to take away sin through His sacrifice. |
