Israel is a luxuriant vine; he produces fruit for himself. According to the abundance of his fruit, he increased the altars; as the goodness of his land grew, they improved the pillars.
1. Dynamic Translation
Israel is like a vigorous vine, producing fruit for itself. As its harvest increased, it built more altars; and as its land prospered, it set up its pillars with care.
