Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Isaiah 14:20:1 ⧉לֹֽא־תֵחַ֤דlotekhadnot you will be united or joined Isaiah 14:20:2 ⧉אִתָּם֙itamwith them Isaiah 14:20:3 ⧉בִּקְבוּרָ֔הbikvurain burial Isaiah 14:20:4 ⧉כִּֽי־אַרְצְךָ֥kiartsekhabecause your land Isaiah 14:20:5 ⧉שִׁחַ֖תָּshikhattayou have ruined or destroyed Isaiah 14:20:6 ⧉עַמְּךָ֣ammekhayour people Isaiah 14:20:7 ⧉הָרָ֑גְתָּharagtayou have killed or slain Isaiah 14:20:8 ⧉לֹֽא־יִקָּרֵ֥אloyikkarenot will be called Isaiah 14:20:9 ⧉לְעוֹלָ֖םleolamfor ever or for eternity Isaiah 14:20:10 ⧉זֶ֥רַעzeraseed or offspring Isaiah 14:20:11 ⧉מְרֵעִֽים׃mereimof evildoers |
| 20. Formal Translation You will not be joined with them in burial, because you have ruined your land and slaughtered your people; the seed of evildoers will never be named for ever. |
| 20. Dynamic Translation You will not lie with them in the tomb, for you devastated your land and killed your own people. The descendants of evildoers will never be remembered for all time. |
