Isaiah 14:4:1וְנָשָׂ֜אתָvenasataand you will lift up or carry
Isaiah 14:4:2הַמָּשָׁ֥לhamashalthe proverb or taunt-song Isaiah 14:4:3הַזֶּ֛הhazethis Isaiah 14:4:4עַל־מֶ֥לֶךְalmelekhagainst a king of Isaiah 14:4:5בָּבֶ֖לbavelBabylon Isaiah 14:4:6וְאָמָ֑רְתָּveamartaand you will say Isaiah 14:4:7אֵ֚יךְekhhow Isaiah 14:4:8שָׁבַ֣תshavathas ceased or stopped Isaiah 14:4:9נֹגֵ֔שׂnogeshoppressor or taskmaster Isaiah 14:4:10שָׁבְתָ֖הshavtahas ceased or stopped Isaiah 14:4:11מַדְהֵבָֽה׃madhevaarrogance or raging or insolence
4. Formal Translation
Then you will lift up this proverb against the king of Babylon and say, “See how the oppressor has come to an end; the insolence has ceased!”
4. Dynamic Translation
You will speak this taunt against Babylon’s king: “The tyrant’s oppression has stopped; his proud fury is gone!”
