4. Formal Translation And He {Yahweh, Universal Judge} will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples, and they will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. No nation will lift up sword against another nation, and they will not learn war any more. |
4. Dynamic Translation He {Yahweh, Peacemaker over All} will make decisions between the nations and resolve arguments for many peoples. They will hammer their swords into plows and their spears into tools for trimming vines. No nation will take up weapons against another nation, and they will never learn war again. |
