24. Formal Translation And it will be that instead of fragrance there will be rot, and instead of a belt, a rope, and instead of the work of braiding, baldness, and instead of a fine garment, a sash of sackcloth, and instead of beauty, a brand-mark. |
24. Dynamic Translation In time, instead of a sweet fragrance, there will be decay; instead of an ornate belt, a rope; instead of braided hair, baldness; instead of a fine garment, a simple sackcloth—and instead of beauty, a burn-scar. |
