Exegesis

The negative clause lo-hayah davar asher lo-hire’itim {לֹא־הָיָה דָּבָר אֲשֶׁר לֹא־הִרְאִיתִים | lō•hāyāh dābār ʾăšer lō•hīrʾî•tîm} uses the Hifil perfect to stress Hezekiah’s full disclosure. The parallelism of ra’u and the construct of kol-asher accentuate the totality of sight, while the sequential vav preserves the swift exchange.
