Isaiah 49:21:1וְאָמַ֣רְתְּveamartand you will say
Isaiah 49:21:2בִּלְבָבֵ֗ךְbilvavekhin your heart Isaiah 49:21:3מִ֤יmiwho Isaiah 49:21:4יָֽלַד־לִי֙yaladlihas borne to me Isaiah 49:21:5אֶת־אֵ֔לֶּהetele{direct object} these Isaiah 49:21:6וַאֲנִ֥יvaaniand I Isaiah 49:21:7שְׁכוּלָ֖הshekhulabereaved Isaiah 49:21:8וְגַלְמוּדָ֑הvegalmudaand barren or childless Isaiah 49:21:9גֹּלָ֣הgolaexiled Isaiah 49:21:10וְסוּרָ֗הvesuraand turned aside Isaiah 49:21:11וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙veeleand these Isaiah 49:21:12מִ֣יmiwho Isaiah 49:21:13גִדֵּ֔לgidelhas reared Isaiah 49:21:14הֵ֤ןhenlook, behold Isaiah 49:21:15אֲנִי֙aniI Isaiah 49:21:16נִשְׁאַ֣רְתִּיnishartiI was left Isaiah 49:21:17לְבַדִּ֔יlevaddialone, by myself Isaiah 49:21:18אֵ֖לֶּהelethese Isaiah 49:21:19אֵיפֹ֥הefofrom where Isaiah 49:21:20הֵֽם׃פhemare they
21. Formal Translation
And you will say in your heart, “Who has borne these for me, since I have been bereaved and barren, exiled and removed? And these—who has raised them? Behold, I was left alone; these—where were they?”
21. Dynamic Translation
Then you will wonder deep inside, “Who gave me all these children when I was bereaved and barren, exiled and cast off? Who brought them up? I thought I was alone—so where did they come from?”
