7. Formal Translation
For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts {Yahweh Tsevaot, Divine Commander} is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are His delightful planting; He looked for justice, but behold, bloodshed; for righteousness, but behold, a cry.
7. Dynamic Translation
The vineyard belonging to the LORD of hosts {Yahweh Tsevaot, Supreme Leader} is Israel’s people, and the people of Judah are His cherished garden; He expected justice, but saw violence; for righteousness, but heard only a cry.
