9. Formal Translation In my ears the LORD of hosts {Yahweh Tseva’ot, Divine Commander} has sworn: Surely many houses shall become desolate, great and beautiful ones without a resident. |
9. Dynamic Translation The LORD of hosts {Yahweh Tseva’ot, Supreme Commander} has spoken in my hearing: “Truly, many houses will be left deserted—spacious and splendid, with no one living in them.” |
