11. Formal Translation For the One who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. |
11. Dynamic Translation The same One who commanded, “You must not commit adultery,” also commanded, “You must not murder.” So if you avoid adultery but commit murder, you still stand as a lawbreaker. |
