11. Formal Translation "For just as the girdle clings to the loins of a man, so I caused to cling to Me all the house of Israel and all the house of Judah," declares the LORD {Yahweh, Binding Redeemer}, "to become for Me a people, and for a name, and for praise, and for glory; but they would not listen." |
11. Dynamic Translation "Just as a belt clings to a man’s waist, I made the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah cling closely to Me," says the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Center}, "so that they would be My people, for My name, for praise, and for glory—but they refused to listen." |
