| 15. Formal Translation Therefore, thus says the LORD {Yahweh, Supreme Judge} concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, though I did not send them: they say, “Sword and famine shall not be in this land.” By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed. |
| 15. Dynamic Translation So this is what the LORD {Yahweh, Ultimate Authority} declares about the prophets who speak in My name, even though I did not send them: “There will be no sword or famine in this land.” Yet those prophets will meet their end {yittamu: cut off, destroyed} by sword and famine. |
