| 5. Formal Translation Thus says the LORD {Yahweh, Sovereign Judge}: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart turns away from the LORD.” |
| 5. Dynamic Translation This is what the LORD {Yahweh, Supreme Authority} says: “Anyone who trusts in people and relies on human strength, and whose heart turns away from the LORD, is under a curse.” |
