| 21. Formal Translation Therefore, give their sons to the famine, and hand them over to the power of the sword; let their women be bereaved and become widows, and let their men be slain by death; let their young men be struck by the sword in battle. |
| 21. Dynamic Translation So hand over their sons to hunger, and give them over to the sword; may their wives lose their children and become widows, let their men be struck down by deadly plague, and let their young men fall by the sword in battle. |
