| 4. Formal Translation Because they have forsaken Me {Yahweh, Righteous Judge} and have estranged this place, burning incense here to other gods that neither they, nor their fathers, nor the kings of Judah had known, and have filled this place with the blood of the innocent. |
| 4. Dynamic Translation Because they have deserted Me {Yahweh, Covenant Keeper} and treated this place like a foreign land, offering incense here to other gods that neither they, their ancestors, nor the kings of Judah ever knew, and have drenched this place with the blood of the innocent. |
