13. Formal Translation For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me {Yahweh, Living Water Source} and dug for themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that cannot hold water. |
13. Dynamic Translation My people have done two wrongs: they have abandoned Me {Yahweh, Compassionate Protector}, the source of living water, and have dug out their own cisterns—cracked cisterns that cannot even hold water. |
