3. Formal Translation Israel was holiness to the LORD {Yahweh, Set-Apart Sovereign}, the first of His produce; all who ate of it were guilty, and evil shall come upon them, declares the LORD. |
3. Dynamic Translation Israel was holy to the LORD {Yahweh, Judge of Nations}, the very first of His harvest. Everyone who ate it became liable, and calamity was sure to come upon them, says the LORD. |
